Things are really bad. Keven is self destructive and on the run and there is nothing I can do. If he comes home what do I do? He needs help. But what kind? What do you do for someone who is full of rage, depression and fear and thinks the only answer is heroin?

Barbara, you need to take care of yourself. I know it is hard, but in the end, nobody else will but you. It would be best if you could somehow get off the roller coaster. Just try to "check out" of the situation. If he needs to go somewhere else, then that's where he needs to stay. If you were not around to take care of him, how would things be? His life is not your responsibility anymore.

As much as I know you are hurting to watch Keven (and feel like he is self destructing) both Bristolvol and BRB Queen are correct. The best and most helpful thing you can do for Keven is to stop making it easy for him. And you need to take care of yourself and keep yourself safe. You don'tneed any additional drama in your life. Thing what FractalMom would tell you (for example). I know it hurts and I feel so much pain and for you. But not for him. He is making his own choices. And he is an adult. Please take care of yourself and know that we are all out here praying for you.
Thank you, Ladies. Its so hard to see progress then self destruction. He's on his way home right now and I have to talk to him. I feel strong but tired.
