HE'S OUT!

A lot happened yesterday.  I knew there was a chance that he'd be released today so packed all his stuff and brought it with me to work.  I also wrote him a reminder of what I will and will not do for him from this point on.  He sold his car (well, I sold it for him) and is now paying his own way in life.  He's going to see how fast money goes and how different it feels to spend YOUR OWN MONEY for rehab, cigs, etc.  He's never had money of his own (except for the money he made illegally to buy the car but we won't go there....) so this should be a huge life lesson that he should have learned years ago.

He's going back to "United" for his fifth last chance to get the help he needs while in Opportunity Court/Recovery Court.

HE BETTER KNOW HOW  FORTUNATE HE IS!

I'm excited because, even though there are benefits to being in custody, being in a solid rehab is far better for him.

I need a break.  TGIF!

Peace, Hope and Love, Barbara

Anna, let's hope so. You're in my thoughts and prayers, along with Beth, as always...

Gabrielle, long time no see! Thanks for the wise words, I am going to ... i have to!!!

Dad,
He doesn't have a key but we now lock the doors AND windows when we leave. Still not exactly sure how Ant got in.

Barbara, I'm so glad to hear this , & you're completely right about the $. I have said to all of my kids ,.. You know, my $50 (or whatever amount) feels just like your &50. Mine isn't Monopoly money,.. Even though, at times, they seemed to approach it as such. Nothing like having to spend your own $ for something to really get the value of it & feel for how to handle it. I'm hoping him being back in the rehab gives you some much needed peace & him the clarity he needs to progress in a positive way. He's very fortunate to be given this chance now, but I get the feeling he realizes that. Put your feet up if you can & have a peaceful weekend.

Fantastic news.

Can I just say how awesome it is to watch the ways this whole awful horribleness has changed you for the better? Writing him that letter telling him what you will and won't do is just such a good thing. That must give him a real feeling of security being able to look and see how it is. And it must give you a greater feeling of definition dealing with him, somehow (at least that's the word that springs to mind for some reason).

He has another chance. Hope he realizes God's grace in this.

Hey! Can you see me doing the happy dance over here? I don't do that for just anyone...not to mention it is soooo hot out today. I am a little bewildered by all these chances, where do I get J one of those judges? God must have very special plans for Kevin!
