Time for Hope

I decided to put something more cheerful, hopeful as my blog banner.  A sunflower symbolizes:
"happiness, strength, a love of the sun & sunlight,  and because it is said to always turn its face to the sun it is considered by some to be a symbol of faith"

Like the new banner. Sunflowers are just one of many of God's wonderous creations. Also a sign of hope.

Hi Barbara -

I think it is great that you changed your banner to something that is beautiful - I believe it signifies healing for both you and Keven!

To answer your question about my match.com experience - my husband and I divorced in 2007 and remarried in Jan. 2009. During that time is when I was on match. I believe you have to be comfortable being with yourself before you are able to meet someone that is good for you - that's probably why I didn't meet anyone!

I absolutely love that you stepped into change. It's the beginning of a slap in the face to drugs. Very nice sunflower.

Michael, thanks, I agree!

Sherry, Ok, now I get it! That's an interesting story - kind of romantic in a way.

Mike, thanks, Bud!

Madison, thank you. It was time and its exactly how I feel.

I think it is a beautiful expression of hope and healing! Making the change in something you see and experience everyday represents your commitment to the same in life. (((HUGS)))

I never said it, but the other one creeped me out.

I love the new banner, when I look at it, it reminds me of hope, not the pain we all go through like the other banner. I understand it was necessary at the time, sometimes we need it to stare us in the face over and over so we keep it real. Glad you are feeling lighter:)
