Kev did not advance today as expected because he was missing several NA meetings. Therefore Phase Three eligibility has been pushed back for two more months.
The Positive:
He understands and accepts this
The Negative:
There is no negative, this is the consequence for not following through
Peace, Hope and Love,
Barbara

You are right. There are consequences for whatever we do.
Sorry to hear about Keven. But you sound serene. Keven is fortunate to have a drug court system. As a reporter, I've done some reporting on drug courts, most recently on an Indian reservation where 99.9 percent of the cases (according to the judge) involve alcohol (mostly) or other drugs. It makes so much sense to me to deal with causes. But it's a very difficult thing to make work. Hugs and prayers for you and Kev.
We all hate the "C" word, but we all have them! He's learning some really important lessons and I'm so glad this program exists for him and others!
He's slipping if he's not going to na, i think that and his other infractions are painting a picture. They don't call it chasing the dragon for nothing. It's a deceitful beast, and while he may not be using right now, he may have awoken it. Drugs can turn good people to do bad things. Careful Barbara. I think one of the worst things about being an addict is that understanding that all drugs are bad and getting high is bad. I don't believe that to be the case. I am wary of people going back to their drug of choice, breaking a cycle may just be about creating different healthier highs. All the best, and sending hugs your way.
I think that maybe both of you need to follow through a little more.
