On my way to pick up his car in Santa Ana, they took him right from the courtroom for a dirty test last week. I guess he didn't even wait for the 3 day weekend.

Praying for both of you. I hope Keven takes advantage of the chance to think and re-evaluate the course he's on. And I especially hope you take some time to get some good rest and relaxation and do some things you enjoy. I'll say it yet again... Take care of you, sweetie!!

He made the mess so let him clean it up. You have had a lot of drama/trauma so now it's time for some good stuff for you. Nothing will change Keven's consequences.
I agree that consequences are what they are but the mental illness component is frustrating. Because Keven is fighting those demons, too, makes this situation even more of a disaster. Keven needs both drug counseling and psych counseling. I hope that he is evaluated by both; they are intertwined.
In the meantime, treat this like a break. You cannot worry the situation away. Breathe. Relax. I know it seems counterintuitive. Keven in jail and you kick back. But, I know that when my daughter was in treatment it was the only time I really slept through the night. YOu have tried your very hardest to guide Keven and this was his choice. Now you have to let go.
