I am taking care of me...

Syd reminds me to take care of myself all the time, and I just wanted to let  you all know that I actually have been and YES it does make a difference!

I have been very good to myself recently and as a result feel more peace and am 11 lbs. lighter!  I've been walking with my dog and eating mostly veggies, grains and beans.  And, I have socializing a tiny bit more.

Wow, 11 pounds lighter! I think you sent those my way! How did you do it? So happy to hear you are doing things for yourself.

Here is how I lost the 11 lbs (I still have lots more to go!)

I cut out all dairy products and almost all meat (I've had chicken once a week)

I've been eating lots of veggies, fruit, brown rice, beans, and nuts and tofu. Sounds SO HEALTHY but I am still waiting to actually feel better. I don't have a whole lot of energy.

I did "cheat" several times (ice cream, real salad dressing, a whole bag of rice crackers instead of a serving).

Its been fun and easy so far. I just want to FEEL better so hopefully that will happen soon :)

Congratulations on doing more for yourself. I liked the family photos. I t think you are a very social person. Now you have a chance to get out and socialize in real life. This is good for you but please don't forget about your cyberfriends.
