I am going to sell his truck while he's in jail...
K traded his car for a piece of junk truck while under the influence. Since them my family (well meaning but very enabling) paid to have the truck fixed so it will be driveable. We all HATE the truck. Its a monstrosity.
Well, K had his license revoked for a year and now that he's in jail again I think its time for the truck to go. He will be furious, he "loves" the truck. But who pays for gas, insurance and repair?
I also had his cell phone turned off today.
This time I can't be such a wimp.
I am also taking the doorknob off his door. I know some parents remove the entire bedroom door, but I don't want to do that (yet) partially because it will reduce the noise from his TV.
Any thoughts on the bedroom door issue?

Way to go Barbara! Stick your heels in and stay tough! I'm behind you with this 100%!
Wow never thought of the doorknob thing, GO FOR IT!!
Thanks, Drew, I appreciate you so much.
Mom of DA, thanks! I heard of taking the whole door off but I thought a "peep hole" would work for now :)
Love that doorknob idea! If he is going to stay with you, that sounds good to me. We placed a good doorknob with a key on oldest daughter's door at one point, to protect her from youngest daughter's pilfering...
I look back on that and wonder why my DH let her stay as long as he did.... He put a lockless knob on hers, and the keyed one on the other daughter's door.... Now it seems like so much insanity.
We do the best we can, at any given time!! We love them! Sigh.
I'll be back to read more, please keep writing!!
Good idea selling the truck. My son was in a head on collision while high on oxycontin/ambien, thank the Lord nobody was killed! The cell phone being shut off is one of the best things also, good for you!
Thanks everybody!!
