THIS IS MY FIRST BLOG ABOUT MY SON'S ADDICTION. I no longer write here, but you can find me at the blog listed to the right, "Heroin Addiction - Ten Years In".
I wish I had read something like this two years ago, when I first learned of Bryan's addiction. Your thoughts and your answers were exactly right on. Thank you for being brave enough to share this with all of us. By the way, I'm in San Bernardino County...not to far from you. Merry Southern California Christmas.
Oh Gosh Barbara.. I did not know all the details until now. A million trillion hugs.
I heard this too......about people with bi-polar medicated themselves. Someone I dated a few weeks in August did that for years with POT.. until his own son at 13 was diagnose with bi-polar.. and he found out that was what he had too and needed medication for it.
ADD and and bi-polar.. (he was 49 when he found out and was always highly functional and just POT.. but still..)
I hope things work out for Keven.. if he is on his bi-polar medication I hope it stabilize him. He is so young.
Hugs.. you are a good woman. I hope he enjoys his new room.
I hope you are going to al-anon.. it really works.
Thanks, Lou. They do have a really good site, it was glad they asked me to share.
Mom, thanks. I love finding info out there. What would we all be doing without the Internet? I'd be living at the library trying to research stuff but compares to personal interaction!
Lisa, Happy So. Cal Christmas! I like San Bernardino, dated a guy in Redlands for a few years. Thanks for what you said about the interview...I don't think I am brave, just telling it like it is and if it helps anyone then some of the pain and worry has been used for "good".
Thanks, Ms. Hen. I remember that guy from your blog (suprising its hard to keep track since you have so many dates!) I feel bad for my son and everyone that has to deal with this stuff. Life is hard enough without extra things to deal with....
